How Art Imitates Life

How the movie V for Vendetta foreshadowed the current COVID-19 crisis

Mimesis.

This word is Greek and it means imitation. Not copying in the sense of imitating, but more so, representing. Representation.

Plato and Aristotle both spoke of mimesis as the representation of nature.

According to Plato, all artistic creation is a form of imitation, from the world of ideas. Essentially, what man perceives in his reality, already exists in this world of ideas.

Therefore, all musicians, artists, etc., are merely imitators of an imitation, twice removed from the truth.

That’s a lot to take in, but essentially, what it’s saying is that:

• There’s this “World of Ideas” that exists

• People pull from this world, ideas and thoughts, and make them reality

• So the reality that we see in our physical world, already existed in the other world. The World of Ideas.

Think about it: how many times have you had an idea, but soon realize that its already created?

Essentially, you pulled from the same world of idea, the only thing, someone got a head start.

• Served on the board of Bill Gates’ Global Fund

• A doctor and scientist who performed research experiments.

• Designed chemical hormone treatment known as Batch 5

Andrew Cuomo and Adam Sutler

Andrew Cuomo

• Governor of New York — City with the most COVID-19 cases

• “If we stop acting the way we are acting, you will see those numbers go up, we can’t handle the worst-case scenario.”

Adam Sutler

• Ruler of Britain

• “I want every man, woman and child to understand how close we are to chaos. I want everyone to remember why they need us!”

Summary

There are even more similarities between the characters in V for Vendetta and COVID-19. Small similarities such as both “Anthony’s” being in positions to administer “Guidelines”. Both prominent physicians start with the name “D” (Deborah and Delia).

This adds even more to the complexity when we see that:

• All four characters in the movie worked together at Larkhill Resettlement Camp.

• Dr. Brix, Fauci and Bill Gates are connected via the Gates Foundation and their work with vaccines.

Now what’s even more interesting, and quite scary, is the fact that at Larkhill Resettlement Camp, a virus was created. A virus that was released into Britian which killed thousands.

That virus is what made Sutler, Ruler; Lilliman, Bishop; Prothero, the voice of the nation.

We’re in the middle of COVID-19. Wonder what happens next.
