How To Gain Mental Clarity Through Life's Challenging Times

Recently, I received a message from a new paid subscriber that made me pause and reflect deeply on my work with Unorthodoxy.

Their comment mentioned how my work provides clarity and expands their “mental aperture,” brought a smile to my face and sparked some introspective thoughts.

At first, I had to look up the word “aperture” to fully grasp what they meant. Essentially, they were saying that my work broadens their mental perspective, opening up new avenues of thought.

This feedback made me consider how the content on Unorthodoxy not only expands thought processes for my audience but also serves as a tool for my personal growth and mental clarity.

Much of what I write about stems from my own journey of expanding my thoughts. As someone who solves problems for a living, I’ve realized that much of the mental stress I experience doesn’t directly relate to the issue at hand.

Instead, it’s often tied to perceptions of the individuals involved or past experiences that cloud my judgment. This mental strife between the ego and perception can distract us from the actual problem, consuming energy that could be better spent on resolving the issue.

As I continue to navigate these challenges daily, I’m learning more about the nature of reality—both in its esoteric and spiritual dimensions. This understanding is crucial for gaining mental clarity and effectively solving problems.

It’s this realization that drives much of my writing on Unorthodoxy. I often find myself sharing how I’ve gained clarity on various issues, hoping that these insights resonate with others who are on similar paths.

Recently, I’ve been facing some significant personal and professional challenges. While they aren’t overwhelming, they have stretched my faith and tested my resilience. It’s easy to feel daunted, but I’m actively trying to find the silver lining.

As I face these various challenges on my quest, the questions I wrestle with are:

  • How do I transmute a negative experience into a positive one?

  • How do I evolve from my current state to the future self I aspire to be?

This process involves confronting a lot of fear and laziness — also known as resistance — especially since much of it is rooted in the unknown.

To move past this resistance and achieve greater mental clarity, I’ve come to realize that I need to stay grounded in reality. This grounding has made me realize that reality is composed of two fundamental elements: numbers and energy.
