Distract (v.): late 14c., distracten, "to turn or draw (a person, the mind) aside or away from any object; divert (the attention) from any point toward another point," from Latin distractus, past participle of distrahere "draw in different directions,"
Every morning, when I start my day, I give thanks to the universe, read my manifestations and mantras, set my intentions, and then start my day. Typically, I tackle the most significant thing on my list, which usually involves my laptop and, eventually, the internet.
I’m a fan of Firefox when using the internet because the browser has nothing.
However, I often go to MSNBC to use Bing AI. And here is where I enter the vortex.
Every time I go there, bam, the stories just come, flipping from one place to another. Story after story about what’s going on in the world. Story about here, there, everywhere.
Here are a few examples of the stories I’ve seen this past week.
Mind you, I just woke up. Twenty minutes after waking up, going through my mantras, setting my intention for the day, and starting my day, bam, I’m hit with stories here, there, everywhere. This is where we need to realize the world that we live in.
After much trial and failure, I’ve realized that these stories or click baits are nothing more than the energy of distraction, tools that divert my attention.
Now, this is normal. This reality is marketing. For example, even when logging into Substack to write an article, there are stories written that capture my attention from writing that article.
This scenario is the power of distraction, so we must be mindful of it in whatever forms it takes, whether it be stories, cell phones, notifications, or whatever. If something is diverting our attention from what our original intention should be, then it is a distraction.
In my newest book, I go through history from an unorthodox lens, factoring in the role the occult and conspiratorial politics played in shaping our world. In the later part of my book, I end by discussing how the phenomenon of attention and intention is a powerful force in shaping reality, but this has been educated out of the public and, in other ways, diverted towards other means. Intent is critical in the creation formula, and if we are not aware of the forces that steal our intention, i.e., distraction, we never look to create our reality.

Distracted? Distracted by the wars, the threats of wars, the Gaza Genocide, prophecies of Armageddon and the "Next End of the World" catastrophe? The species teeters on the brink of extinction because of new Covid variants, with China ahead with a 100% kill rate versus Boston Universities 80% with the rest zombie mice. The WEF promises disease "X," and we all suffer from long Covid. Is it OK to go about business as usual or do we need to be sharp. "To every thing there is a season." I think we have to deal with it. I thought of going renunciate monastic, but haven't as it seems I have some responsibility to people. But I know what you mean. I still keep time for sunrises and sunsets and sit from time to time with Sophia. Namaste.
