Weekly Recap: Our Energetic Reality
From Rowing Boats to Imagining Our Future, Here’s what was released this week.
Have you ever found yourself scrolling through social media for hours on end, constantly refreshing your feed in search of more information? Or maybe constantly refreshing your news feed to get the latest updates on current events? If any of this sounds familiar, then you might be experiencing what some are calling an addiction to information.
If you haven't had a chance to read my article on addiction to information, I highly recommend checking it out. Even the esteemed James Colbert read it and gave positive feedback. In the article, I explored how our brain processes information and how it can act like a drug. I also touch on the mechanism of action of information, so if you have a medical background, (
) I encourage you to read it and offer your thoughts. However, after some reflection this week, I realized that I may not have gone deep enough. What makes information so addicting? There must be more to it than just the surface level. Through writing my latest articles, I was able to gain a fuller understanding of the topic. And so, without further ado, here’s the recap on this week’s articles!
Embracing Life as a Playground
In the first article, “Life as a Playground,” an interesting lullaby caught our attention - the “Row, Row, Your Boat.” Its lyrics go like this: “Row, row, row your boat, gently down the stream, merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily, life is but a dream.” While analyzing this lullaby, we realized that certain concepts are contained in it. In fact, we identified two key ideas that the poem conveys.
The first idea is about dreaming. We all know that when we are in a dream, we can realize that we are dreaming. At this point, we can take control of our dream and do whatever we please. We can fly, swim, or follow the dream to see where it leads us. What if we applied idea to our waking life as well? If life is but a dream, and we wake up when we pass, should we not be able to do whatever we want, just like in a dream? The second idea is that life can be taken too seriously. When we treat life like a dream, we can have more fun, take more risks, and enjoy our time on this level plane to the fullest.
Now, let's focus on the words used in the lullaby itself. The word “stream” is particularly interesting, as it rhymes with “dream.” However, it also has a powerful symbol: the flow of water. When we paddle our boat down the stream, we must be mindful of the different “currents” or “energies” that we are flowing on. This word, “current,” has both watery and electrical connotations. And this is where the lightbulb went off!
If we're supposed to “row our boat down the stream,” is this essentially telling us that we need to be mindful of the different currents or energies that we're rowing down on? This is where we begin to see just how energetic or electric our reality is.
The Power of Visualization
In my latest article, “The Power of Visualization,” I delved into the powerful ability of visualization that we all possess. If life is just a dream, then we have the power to manifest our dreams into reality through visualization. It's a fascinating concept and I explored this idea further and found that visualization requires two essential things to become a reality - imagination and willpower.
But here's the kicker: imagination and willpower are described as “currents” that need to flow in a specific order. You need the current of imagination to go first, to have a clear mental image of what you want to manifest. Only then can the current of willpower come into play, driving you towards your goals.
However, it's not always easy to tap into our imagination and visualization skills. Have you ever stopped to consider whether you know how to visualize? As adults, we often find ourselves bogged down by the stresses of everyday life. How many of us actually take the time to imagine what our futures could look like? We may be too preoccupied with paying bills or keeping up with the news to use our mental skills of imagination effectively.
Let me pose a thought-provoking question: What if life is a dream (when we die, we wake up), and our goal is to navigate our boats through the daily streams? Could it be that those in authority have constructed our reality in such a way that we are too preoccupied to steer our boats where we truly desire? Is this a tactic to compel us to blindly follow their desired course? Is there something more behind “currents” and “currency?”
Real World Examples
To fully drive home this message on energies and why information is addictive, let us examine the energy of potentiality.
The concept of the energy, or current, of potentiality has a profound effect on our daily lives. For example, we live in an energetics world where information dances with the energy of potentiality at all times. Every notification on our phone or email elicits a response from us because it moves us with the potential behind the message. This is why information is so addictive, due to the potential behind it. Could the app notification mean this? Could this email mean that? This is a part that we address in the dangers of screen-based technologies in the article on our ocularcentric society.
This is also why propaganda has so much power; it appeals to the energy of potentiality and tells us what we could do or what could happen. If we can agree with this, we can look deeper into things and see where they're coming from, making us mindful of our actions and surroundings.
The take-home message here is that the current behind information is what truly attracts us. But the question is, does this apply to other areas of our reality as well? Let's take a look at medicine and the condition of depression to explore this further.
Interestingly, a recent study found that SSRIs, one of the most commonly prescribed medications for depression, are still not clearly understood in terms of how precisely they work. These medications are supposed to increase serotonin levels in individuals to improve their mood, but what exactly is serotonin, and how do we measure it? Could depression be a manifestation of energetic currents rather than a clinical condition requiring medication?
suggests that depression could actually put us in touch with reality, allowing us to have a more accurate view of life.In his book ‘Anti-fragile,’ Nassim Taleb discusses how some days bring mountains of vigor, while others bring energetic slowness that we can use to reflect. Depression could simply be a symptom of energy, rather than a condition that requires medication. I actually spend the first chapter of my book and coursework discussing the impact that electricity had on humanity when it was created and delivered in the 1800s.
Conclusion
If you're interested in gaining access to the full content and information presented within these articles, then I highly recommend becoming a paid member. These articles hold the keys to understanding the energetics of reality and by understanding the dynamics of energetics, we can unlock the keys to a more vibrant reality.
We can apply this perspective of currents to our daily lives and habits. For instance, if we always do something a certain way, the current of that habit becomes ingrained in us. By consciously creating new behaviors, we can create new energetic fields. This dynamic of energy is present in pretty much everything, which is why it's important to be mindful of the current, frequency, and vibration of our environment and thoughts.
The human psyche is also heavily influenced by energetic currents. We may have countless thoughts running through our mind each day, but we don't necessarily need to think about everything consciously. Our bodies can process information and energy on their own better than we can. However, we need to be cautious and aware of the energies we're surrounded by. Life may be nothing but a dream, but we're surrounded by streams of energy that can pull us in different directions.
