The article presents several values and perspectives:
Understanding of AI: The article demystifies AI, explaining it as advanced computing rather than an intelligent entity. This understanding can help readers view AI from a more informed perspective.
Role of AI in Content Creation: The article discusses how AI can aid in content creation, making the process more efficient and allowing creators to reach a wider audience. This insight can be beneficial for readers involved in content creation or those interested in the field.
Awareness of AI’s Limitations: By highlighting that AI is a tool that only works with the information given to it and always needs a prompt, the article raises awareness about the limitations of AI. This can help readers use AI more effectively and responsibly.
Reframing the Perception of AI: The article encourages readers to view AI not as a threat but as a tool for advancement. It emphasizes the need to see AI as neither good nor evil, but as either constructive or destructive.
Introduction
The idea of pandemics shutting down the world has been discussed for quite some time, even prior to COVID-19. From the conspiratorial circles, the idea that a pandemic would be necessary to usher in a biosecurity state is nothing new and has been attempted multiple times throughout history. From Ebola to Zika, numerous pandemics have emerged, yet none have managed to put the population under lockdown as COVID-19 has.
So, what made COVID-19 so much more impactful than all the other pandemics? One theory suggests that COVID-19 was the only “viral1” pandemic that had the power of TikTok, and more broadly, social media behind it. For those unfamiliar with social media dynamics, TikTok’s algorithm stands out from other platforms due to its ability to curate content based on vast user data, making it extremely addictive.
While discussions about TikTok and its influence continue to dominate the news, this article focuses on something other than social media. Instead, we delve into the realm of propaganda and how it can easily persuade a population to believe something that might not necessarily be true. This article brings us to another topic that is often shrouded in misconceptions and hyperbole—Artificial Intelligence, or as I prefer to call it, Advanced Computing.
AI: Advanced Computing or the End of Humanity?
When we talk about Artificial Intelligence (AI), the narrative often pushed by mainstream media is that this technology will eliminate jobs and replace the need for humans to work. The underlying message is clear: we should be scared of AI. I’ve discussed this sentiment on my podcast, “To AI or Not to AI.”
I must admit when I first heard about AI, I shared these fears. I thought it was the worst thing ever and should be banned. At the time, I wasn’t as awake in my process as I am now, and I could have been under the influence of some of the gatekeepers that I would listen to all the time, who preached that AI would be the destruction of humanity.
However, as I learned more about AI and attended a few conferences, my perspective began to shift. I realized that there are two forms of AI: actual AI and theoretical AI. Actual AI encompasses many of the things that we’re seeing AI do, such as computing and similar tasks. Theoretical AI, on the other hand, is what we have been led to believe will destroy the world, take over human jobs, and replace all human labor.
Interestingly, as we’ve seen with the pandemic and how propaganda and social media can push ideas, the narrative of AI is being pushed as a destructive force. People are now scared of AI because they think AI will come for them. But when we study AI, we see that this is nothing but a fancy macro in Excel. It’s really just advanced computing.
If I had to use a percentage in my work, I’d probably say I use 15% AI and 85% me. One can never have something “just 100% AI” unless you say, “Hey AI, make me pick a random article topic and write an article about it.” Even in that scenario, there’s still 50% human use because AI doesn’t go until it’s prompted.
The point I want to make is that AI is nothing more than a new technology that is being pushed. As I discussed in my podcast, “The Beauty of Good and Evil,” technology can be the greatest savior or the greatest enslaver. Looking at AI from this perspective, we realize that this new technology is a bit of both. The ability to transform, grow, and move using AI is quite profound.
AI: A Tool for Advancement, Not a Threat to Humanity
To truly grasp the essence of what I’m saying, it’s essential to understand how AI is used in the creation process. To start, I create the ideas, develop the structure, and shape the flow of my work. AI merely refines it for me. It saves time spent on editing repeatedly, especially for individuals who aren’t naturally born writers. But the process doesn’t end there. I still go back, review my work, learn, and strive to create a product that is beautiful enough for the readers to read.
Thanks to advanced computing, I can now take two hours to create four articles, as opposed to one hour to create just one. These articles can reach different people in different ways, ultimately letting them know that the system we live in enslaves us, and we need to be aware of that. Thanks to this technology of AI, we’re able to reach more people and convert more people to the truth of this reality.
However, it’s important to acknowledge that AI has privacy concerns and potentially destructive aspects. There’s also the trap of becoming too complacent. This double-edged sword is why we need to look at everything we do, not from a perspective of good and evil but from a perspective of whether it’s constructive or destructive.
Looking at AI from this perspective, we see that it’s nothing more than the next advancement in computing. AI only takes what we give it; at least, that’s what’s been told to us, and we need to be careful about what information we give it. This advancement should make our lives better and free us from more of the societal traps.
The fear of AI is nothing but another dot-com boom. The onus is on us to learn about it and use it to eliminate as many chains as we have so we can begin to focus on the seven areas of life and have a wonderful life. AI is nothing more than a new tool. It’s not intelligent because it doesn’t create. All it is is a language model. It’s taking information you’ve given to make it into something you want.
Yes, it can create fancy pictures, and yes, it can create cool videos. But it always will need a prompt. So it is not intelligent, as we’re being propagated too. It’s AC, advanced computing, and it is nothing to fear.
