This shift is the premise of my book because I do not think an in-depth enough analysis has been done on how humanity has changed since industrialization. For example, the phenomenon of boredom did not exist until big cities came about. Before this, there was no such thing as there was always plenty of work to do. However, when that work is now limited to only the factory, individuals do not have time to work on other areas of their lives, families, etc., and are “bored”…
