We need to bring shaming overall back for abhorrent behavior as a society. Shaming is constructive criticism and was once utilized as a tool to effectively terminate and extinguish stupid abhorrent behavior.

This world is backwards, though - the masses now effectively see stupid people as smart, and vice versa.

This article made me burst out laughing. My father, God rest his soul, used stupid more times than I can remember. "Hey stupid!! Do you think I heat the outdoors?". Hey stupid!! were you born in a barn?" "Hey stupid!! clean those muddy shoes before you come in." "Hey stupid!! lean back in my chair once more and you'll be on the floor looking up". Dear Dad, I miss you.

Enter the 21st century. I'm babysitting the grands. "That was stupid, why did you do that?" The mothers: "Did you call my son/daughter stupid?" Yes I did. "You hurt their feelings. I say what they did was stupid, not the child being stupid". Tell me please, what's the difference.

Screaming, yelling, I wouldn't have even heard a bomb drop, I say, in the loudest voice possible, SHUT UP!!!!!. Mothers: "Did you tell my child to shut up?" Yes I did. "We don't say that. We say please be quiet". I ALMOST felt wrong, intimidated, shamed for my verbiage. Almost.

"No one ever accused me of being politically correct and I'm not starting now dear. Teach your kids better so I don't have to. In the meantime, my house, my rules. You decide if you want to continue with this free babysitting I'm bestowing on you." Result: they took their kids elsewhere, enrolled them into pre-pre preschool to get them away from the terrible abuse to their precious child's self esteem. My kids world revolved around us, like my world revolved around my parents. STUPID mothers today: Their lives revolve around their children.

"The individuals to whom this article applies are those family and friends that we know are smarter than what they’re displaying."

1. Stupidity is the norm; and everything is inverted, so smart is seen as stupid, etc. Ignorance is seen as completely normal - it's seen as healthy.

2. As a result, a *LOT* of people--easily most people--don't mind being seen as ignorant, but actually take pride in it; it's truth itself they are allergic to, so there's not much you can do to convince them of it! They're literally too 'lazy' or braindead to care, they prefer to live in La-lah Land due to ignorance, which is somewhat a glorified trait in this world (as I mentioned).

3. Those people, again this is the majority of people (the Bible clearly points out that the world hates truth; it's a spiritual issue) cannot wake up outside of something bad happening to them.

What DOES work (somewhat): Repetition. You can put in a ridiculous amount of work to repeat something unpopular-but-true, taking their attacks and such, until a situation occurs that allows the person to change their previous understanding of any given issue.

Can't say stupid, dumb, crippled, retarded, backward, asinine, insane, butcher, murderous, genocide, apartheid, sick, crazy, shut up, get lost, more later, to be removed from any platform.

Language rewritten to protect the guilty. And stifle everyone else.

This is what I think also. We are not calling out talk that makes no sense and so we continue to spiral into senselessness. Another habit I see is people simply not replying. It's epidemic, this non responsiveness and it's very troubling. I guess it's so they don't look stupid? Or maybe they can't be bothered? However we do need to call out when something doesn't make sense so that both parties can grow from it. We will get better at it from practicing. We are truly denying ourselves immense fulfillment by not tackling difficult situations. And we also need to be prepared for others that call out our ideas that don't make sense. If everyone is too sensitive to hear them it makes us weaker, but if we talk honestly and give honest feedback, we all get much stronger.

They don't reply, because of extreme ignorance. You made a disagreement to them that they didn't like (a truthful fact, etc.) that they would rather not accept as true, so they sort of take pride in ignorance by *ignoring* your input; again you have to remember they don't see ignorance as a bad thing, they *like* being ignorant.

And that exactly why you CAN'T change their mind - they are not *looking* to change their mind, the truth isn't something they're interested in, and they don't even *like* change.

Great points. Maybe they are not supposed to change. Maybe that's their MO. I think they are part of the 3-part category - 1. Regenerative (synergistic) 2. Destructive (entropic) and 3. Interial. They just keep things the same. So we ought not waste our time on them. Following is what they do. It's up to us to build something new. I'm doing it. You can ask me how. I don't waste my time on waking up people who have a closed mind. I do start telling them but if they are not interested I just go "next". What are you doing to build something new?

I take the Biblical worldview entirely, Franklin doesn't, so there's a lot of things he doesn't understand (respectfully). Most of this stuff is covered in the Bible. People are called "haters of truth," they love themselves and hate God, so they don't care about truth in the first place because essentially, lies are more valuable to them. Ignorance is a sin, and there's even several Bible verses that confirm that obvious fact.

The bible isn't a book about truth. If it were it would have sorted life out long ago. Two thousand years and nobody can still make head or tail of it. Buckle up as I tell you what I think the bible is - a book written by Satanists to lure people into believing in someone outside of themselves when the actual source is themselves. The prophesies are written by Satanists because they want a world of chaos and perdition. And they got the believers to think they will be scolded and punished by this omnipotent guy, basically just for being human. So many end up living their lives trying to do what this mythical being wants, and they bow and genuflect so they'll be spared when they die. Basically it's a fear of death and a safety net of illusion to steal our lives from us, without us even knowing. Some people get their kicks that way. Usually very wealthy people who are inbred.

For "just being human?" So, people that run (for example) the UN, WEF and Bilderberg are off the hook because they're simply sociopaths and that makes them human, so they're just plain above us because their thinking is superior to ours... or whatever?

If you believe that - you're just as evil as they are. People who don't believe in sin, don't believe in evil, are themselves profoundly evil.

Assertions galore. I do not "fear" death, I've almost died several times at a young age due to very serious illnesses. You don't have an argument, only assertions.

Such an ignorant response, one that shows you're not even open to changing your mind.

The Bible doesn't sort out life because people love sin, hate the Bible, and do not see it as having been the inspired word of God. Your concerns - everything you bring up here again, are honestly answered in the Bible.

Your one of those people (you actually make up the majority) that know these Satanists and Satanic bloodlines exist, but do not understand that the only reason they worship Satan, is because… Satan also exists, lol. There's really no words to describe how foolish that is, it's literally counterintuitive. You can sell your soul and enjoy temporary gain from doing so, people do this at lower levels too, not just the rich and powerful.

Also, Jesus didn't tell us the world could be saved: he literally said the exact opposite! He said to labor for the soul, not for things that perish!

Your attack is aptly applied to organized religion, but because you don't read the Bible, you don't realize that Jesus was against organized religion, and Jesus wasn't even religious, it was religious people who nailed Him to the cross. Organized religion like “Christianity” isn't actually something the Bible pushed; for example, in the Bible the Church or Body of Christ isn't a building, let alone a 501c3 political building like we have today.

You won't understand any of this stuff without understanding who Jesus Christ really is. Most people cannot; don't be most people, ask Jesus to reveal himself to you and don't give him a time limit, as His timing is usually quite a bit different from ours.

Many are not fit to take any criticism these days, whether of their person or conduct. They lash out or cry. similar to the baseball player who started to cry on the field when a hecckler insulted his mom, who had passed away some years ago. Heckler banned fm baseball for life. :/

The whole idea has been overruled and thrown out the window. It's as though bad behavior is nourished rather than stomped out as in.other times.

Nice handling of the many facets of the word stupid! 💐

“When we say someone made a stupid decision, we’re not attacking their intellect—we’re pointing out that they failed to apply it.”

Totally agree. For example, if I’ve made a stupid move in chess, or a stupid choice on a purchase it’s because I was either in a hurry, didn’t think it through, was distracted, or - and this is the biggie - made a decision based on fear.
