As someone who has read the Bible 7-8 times, and several times in chronological order, including commentary by Mathew Henrry, I’m am a strong seeker. I e become curious of how Gnostics like the Book of. Enoch fit. Do you have any suggestions for first reads for someone with my background in the canonized bible?
Johnny, forgive my apologies on the late response here, but I wanted to make sure I could respond appropriately. I came across an article today and your comment came to mind because I believe it would serve as a starting point.
That article sets the foundation of how certain books were left out of the Bible to fit a "specific world view." I think that is a great place to start because my rationale is this: if you already have a background of the bible but not being exposed to the works of Enoch, Philip or Thomas, this article can show how and why those books may have been left out due to the fact that including those books tells a whole different story.
Does that make sense? Let me know your thoughts before I proceed any further.
Is this satire? Just because there is a corporate ladder doesn't mean it goes up – that's the trick; it goes straight to hell! And yes, climbing into hell is a spiritual journey – say hello to Virgil on your way down; catch you in Purgatory perhaps.
I worked for a multinational corporation and was certainly not allowed to climb “the ladder”. The one thing accomplished was hanging on long enough to save enough money to quit. Happily retired with a “not for hire” on my resume.
Only ancient psychedelic medicine has the power to help us remember and to reconnect us to our spirituality. Our reality is a mess. Interesting article. ❤️
Why we are here is still a mystery and that is what makes the whole experience so exciting, despite all the carnage and mythological analysis left by our forebears. Individual existence is a wink of an eye on the time table. It doesn’t leave much time to know thy self in relation to our creator.

Here's an article by Mark providing a high level overview of the Gnostics: https://whowhatwhere.substack.com/p/the-veil-lifts-for-the-great-awakening

Thank you. I’ll take some time to investigate.
I am beginning to understand the true nature of our reality (which may not be as real as we believe it is) also.
