During the worst days of the scamdemic, I developed a "what's the worst that could happen?" attitude regarding my personal rebellion against the edicts and mandates. I believe that that attitude -- kept in one's forebrain -- is very useful in outfoxing one's inner policeman.
Yes, the role of organized religion is critical to controlling the masses. Religion encourages obedience to authority and uses fear and guilt to control the individual.
I see spiritual awareness and organized religion as 2 very different things. Good writing Franklin.
While there is much to dislike about organized religion, there is not a hint in this essay that religion has any power in the West in the Obama Century. We now have an oligarchy that demands we believe that men can become women and that Marxism is the only answer to our social problems.
Organized religion has sufficient influence in this country that one could easily argue that our legislative history suggests we are a theocracy, with many laws over many decades reflecting religious dogma.
It would be interesting to hear a debate regarding whether the USA was ever a theocracy and when it became an oligarchy. I recall that Zeeland, Michigan, once had the only McDonald's Restaurant in the world that was closed on Sunday. Besides that, I cannot think of any government regulation or law that supported Christianity. There is a difference between morality and Christianity.
It is possible that any given society or nation could be both a theocracy and an oligarchy. Obviously we’re talking about semantics, labels and human constructs. Using Zeeland as but one example, cities, counties and states all over the country had “blue laws” that forbade alcohol sales/use on Sunday, and that is an example of religious dogma being enforced by way of state laws. Abortion is another example in play still today. Effectively the US has been an oligarchy for a century or more, if you consider the word to mean government by small groups of special interests.
There is no mention of abortion in the Bible. What you are misunderstanding as religious doctrine is something that was once called morality and decency.
I’m not talking about the Bible, I’m talking about the US Constitution. Those who wish to criminalize abortion are mostly Christian and all Christian churches oppose abortion. In effect church dogma is being enforced by civil legislation, theocracy.

Very interesting and makes a lot of sense.
