Thanks Julie! If you have a link to this, I'd love to take a look! So, when I hear about singularity, it falls under the section of "theoretical AI" that I discuss. It's important to note that it is purely theoretical, because we can look at a lot of things in our world that they claim are threats, but end up being simply theoretical. Ex: Climate Change (https://unorthodoxy.substack.com/p/the-hidden-profits-of-climate-change).
This is why I wanted to write this article so we can become more familiar with this new technology and not be scared of it. I do agree with the head of AGI that "AI is fire" and I think, we can easily be burned, but we need to learn how to use this fire to blaze our way to freedom!

It requires too much energy to power which we are all paying for. What happened to the idea that less is more and slowing down is probably good for our health. This is not a necessary evil, just like all the rest.

in regards to 'it always needs a prompt' ...well have chatgpt prompt another chat gpt.. then either program it to always end with a prompt the other way, or simply have a cycle of prompts to kick start the two. Which might be how our own minds work with the id and ego if you want to go with freud. I don't buy AI isn't and can't be intelligent. I'm too impressed in how it has helped me. To have a system that acts as a conversant top level expert across all subjects at the ready is a gamechanger. I think the only thing slowing it down is our adoption of it and that won't last for much longer.
